Practical Applications & Data Accuracy of Catapult ClearSky: Live S. Luteberget, Norwegian School of Sport Sciences
A PhD student at the Norwegian School of Sport Sciences (NIH) in Oslo, Live S. Luteberget is in the process of researching the working demands handball players are exposed to during training sessions and matches.
Providing an introduction to the types of movements that are common in handball, Live highlighted some of the work she has done to quantify the physical demands of the sport at international level.
Live’s presentation also showcased the validation study the NIH has done regarding Catapult’s ClearSky local positioning system (LPS). Assessing the validity and reliability of positional, distance and speed data derived from ClearSky, Live showed how the system can be used to reliably quantify game demands in elite handball.
